Claire Hooley,
Company Director
Claire has over 13 years experience in the industry and specialises in groundwater contamination and managing our more complex London projects. Claire also looks after all things health and safety at TEC.
Richard Evans,
Technical Director
Richard co-founded TEC in 2004 and has over 30 years’ experience in geotechnics, ground remediation and environmental engineering. Rich is a Charted Geologist and a Chartered Engineer and specialises in geotechnics.
Ruth Easterbrook,
Technical Director
Ruth is a Chartered Geologist and Chartered Scientist and joined TEC in 2022, bringing with her over 20 years of experience within the contaminated land sector. Ruth spent a significant part of her career undertaking a semi-regulatory role with the National House Building Council and uses this experience to ensure that TEC’s technical standards and staff training and development skills are maintained and fully up to date.
Sophie Thomas,
Principal Geoenvironmental Consultant
Sophie joined TEC over 5 years ago with prior experience in the mining industry and a MSc in Applied Environmental Geology. Sophie keeps the team co-ordinated and is specialised in rock stability assessments and all things ground engineering related.
Hannah Jeffery,
Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant
Hannah first joined TEC in 2009 as a graduate from Cardiff University with a Masters degree in Applied Environmental Geology. Hannah rejoins us in 2021, bringing back her wealth of experience and knowledge in the industry, particularly in human health risk assessments.
Mitchell Tucker,
Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant
Mitchell has an MSc in Applied Geotechnics and joined TEC in 2021 with previous experience in the industry. Mitchell is primarily responsible for undertaking ground investigations and production of geoenvironmental and geotechnical reports.
Connor Ling,
Geoenvironmental Consultant
Connor has a BSc(hons) in Exploration Geology and joined TEC in 2023. Connor is primarily responsible for undertaking ground investigations and production of geoenvironmental and geotechnical reports.
Charlie Johnston,
Geoenvironmental Consultant
Charlie has a BSc in Exploration and Resource Geology from Cardiff University and joined TEC in 2024 with prior experience in site investigation from an established company. Charlie is responsible for organising and supervising ground investigations and production of geoenvironmental and geotechnical reports.’

Abbie has an MSc(hons) in Geology and joined TEC as a graduate in 2025. Abbie is primarily responsible for undertaking ground investigations and production of geoenvironmental and geotechnical reports.
Caroline Moule,
Officer Manager
Caroline has a wealth of knowledge and experience in business financial management. Caroline joined TEC in 2006 and manages the office, the accounts and everything needed to keep our company going on a day to day basis.
