New Offices in the Centre of Wells

Further Expansion of the Geo-environmental Team

TEC has recently added two new members to the geo-environmental team:

Mari Ruotsalainen has joined us to further broaden our skill base. Mari, has a strong contaminated land background with a Masters in Contaminated Land Management from the University of Nottingham and a further Masters in Environmental Engineering. In addition, she has spent time creating and implementing an environmental management system to ISO14001 for one of Finland’s larger industrial corporations.

Dan Coles joined us in November 2006. He has gained three years experience in a large geotechnical consultancy and has undertaken projects for numerous clients including the Highways Agency. Dan has a BSc Earth Sciences from The University of Plymouth.

Current Vacancies

We currently have vacancies for a further two geo-environmental consultants.

Successful candidates will be involved in a wide range of projects from contaminated land assessment to remediation supervision and expert witness support. The positions will require consultation with clients, liaison with statutory bodies and commercial control of projects. Applicants should have a relevant first degree in engineering geology / geotechnics / environmental engineering / land remediation and, preferably, should hold a relevant Masters degree, but above all should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of contaminated land investigation, risk assessment and remediation.

In addition, we have a further vacancy for a geotechnical engineer.

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects from major development sites to major infrastructure schemes, including motorway widening schemes, and expert witness work. Applicants should have a relevant first degree in engineering geology or geotechnics and, preferably, should hold a relevant Masters degree, but should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding geotechnical and, ideally, construction processes.
